Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before treatment and avoid blood-thinning medication where medically safe (never stop prescribed medication without speaking to a doctor). Avoid strong exfoliating skincare, retinol, peels or laser near the area. Please come healthy and tell us of any medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, cold sores or previous cosmetic tattoo work.
Keep the treated area clean and avoid touching it with unwashed hands. Do not pick, scratch or peel. Avoid swimming, sauna, steam room, sunbeds, heavy sweating, makeup on the area and strong skincare during healing. The colour looks darker at first, then softens and heals more naturally — a touch-up perfects the final result.
Results vary from person to person. Some clients heal with strong colour retention while others heal lighter, depending on skin type, bleeding, sensitivity, lifestyle and aftercare. PMU is a process, and the best result is usually achieved after the initial treatment and touch-up appointment.
Hygiene is very important to us. We use a new sterile needle/cartridge for every PMU client, opened fresh for the individual. We wear gloves throughout and keep the working area clean and sanitised, using disposable products where required and cleaning before and after every appointment.
